Ulnar Nerve Palsy
Your symptoms will usually include numbness or tingling in the outside of your forearm and pinky (outer) side of your hand and the 4th and 5th fingers (it actually usually only includes the outer ½ of the 4th finger). It can also include weakness of your hand. This can be caused from trauma or strain at the elbow (your “funny bone”) but is usually made susceptible from changes in your neck, upper back and ribs. Frequently shoulder and shoulder blade issues can lead to the development of this condition. Your therapist should be assessing your whole body and not just your elbow. However, on more than one occasion a simple elbow correction can resolve your symptoms immediately.
