Spinal Instability/Spondylolisthesis
Spondylolisthesis is a condition in which one vertebral body slips forward over the vertebral body below it. It can occur in any part of the spine, but is most commonly found in the lumbar spine. It can be caused by a variety of factors, including congenital abnormalities, degenerative changes, and stress fractures from overuse.
Physical therapy can be an effective treatment for spondylolisthesis. The goals of therapy are to reduce pain, improve stability and strength, and prevent further injury.
