Shoulder Replacement
Though hip and knee total joint replacements are fairly common with generally excellent outcomes, total shoulder replacement can be more difficult both surgically and during the rehabilitation process and final outcomes.
A great deal can be done to prevent the need for shoulder surgery in the first place.
Do your best to keep your thoracic spine and ribs as flexible as possible. Make sure you neck is mobile and strong. If you have a neck injury and it is effecting your C5 nerve you will have to more conscientious at maintain rotator cuff strength and control
