Extensor Retinaculum Tear

A retinaculum is fascia or connective tissue that keeps your tendons in place and allows for smooth gliding of your tendons. There is a retinaculum “y-shaped” on the front of the ankle, as well as one on the outside of the ankle behind the outside ankle bone.
